To ensure optimal operation, here are some operating tips for your new system, along with a reminder to consult your system’s operating manual – these are available online or send us a request and we will email one:
1. Before starting the air conditioner, ensure all external doors are closed and curtains/blinds are drawn to minimize heat load and enhance efficiency. We strongly recommend considering solar whirly birds to manage excessive heat, as it could affect the unit’s performance.
We STRONGLY RECOMMEND solar whirly birds
2. To save energy, close doors to rooms not requiring conditioning and switch off the zone for those areas.
3. For inverter ducted units, set the desired temperature and let the system run continuously for optimal performance. Remember Due Points and operating at low temps will cause no warrantable damage to your ceiling.
Summer Operation:
– Select “COOL” mode on the thermostat and set the desired temperature (recommended between 23°C and 26°C).
– Adjust fan speed as needed for efficient cooling and ensure zones are appropriately selected.
Humid Days: Dry mode with 24 degree set point, as this will help with the cycling of the air through the home.
Winter Operation:
– Choose “HEAT” mode on the thermostat and set the desired temperature (suggested between 18°C to 22°C).
– Adjust fan speed for rapid heating and select zones accordingly.
Cleaning Your Air Conditioning Filter:
Follow these steps for easy filter maintenance to ensure efficient system operation and a healthy indoor environment.
Why Filter Cleaning Is Important:
Maintaining a clean filter is crucial for system efficiency, energy savings, and indoor air quality. Regular cleaning prevents damage to components and ensures clean air circulation throughout your home.
How Often to Clean Air Conditioner Filters:
Residential systems should have filters cleaned every 3-4 months, while commercial systems may require monthly cleaning. Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and lower power bills.
Additional Tips:
Regularly check and clean gutters to prevent system backup and flooding. If your system experiences issues, try resetting it by turning off the isolation switch or circuit breaker for 20 minutes.
IMPORTANT:
AC STORE back their installs, and offer a 5 year warranty on installation, as well manufactures offer 5 year warranty on the unit.
Ongoing Servicing for your new AC must be done:
Your ducted or split system air conditioning unit should be professionally serviced every year, depending on usage, to ensure its optimum functionality. In between services, it’s recommended that you clean your filters, depending on the usage the recommended time frame between cleaning your filters will vary but recommend 2-3 months to ensure the effective operation of your system and to avoid any potential warranty being voided.
